A Peanuts-Themed Kei Car That’s as Quirky as It Gets

A Peanuts-Themed Kei Car That’s as Quirky as It Gets

You don’t need a six-figure Nissan Skyline to dive into Japanese car culture—just a taste for the weird and wonderful. Case in point: this 2000 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini Snoopy Edition, now listed on Bring a Trailer. , it’s a factory-fresh tribute to Charles Schulz’s beloved beagle, and it won’t break the bank.

Snoopy is a genuine icon in Japan, and this kei car wears his likeness everywhere. The exterior features custom graphics, paw-print mud flaps, and what looks like Schulz’s signature over two-tone Soft White and Silver Metallic paint. Snoopy even decorates the center caps of the 15-inch wheels, wrapped in Yokohama Geolandar tires.

Inside, he appears on the seat covers, door panels, and speedometer, with Woodstock joining him on the tach. The rest of the cabin is basic, as expected from a tiny kei car.

Under the hood sits a 659-cc turbocharged three-cylinder engine making just 51 horsepower—capped by kei-car regulations. It’s paired with a four-speed automatic and a four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case, a nod to the Pajero’s Dakar-winning heritage. The suspension is independent up front with a live axle in the rear.

This second-generation model, launched in 1998, was also sold as the Nissan Kix, foreshadowing the automakers’ eventual alliance.

The seller picked up this Pajero Mini in Japan in 2025, gave it some maintenance, and imported it. The odometer reads about 35,000 miles, but there’s visible wear, including a faded Snoopy decal on the hood. A clean Tennessee title is claimed, though registration rules for kei cars vary by state.

If you’re after a conversation starter that’s equal parts adorable and capable, this little Snoopy might be your ticket.
