505-HP Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Falls Below Camry Pricing - With Italian Caveats

Kelley Blue Book puts the fair purchase price of a 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio at about $34,410. That is roughly 54% below its original $74,445 sticker. A 2026 Toyota Camry XSE starts at $36,000, and the AWD version sits near $40,000; a loaded Camry can pass the mid-$40,000 line.
Some used Quadrifoglios have been listed for under $30,000 with modest miles and a clean service history.
On paper, the swap is tempting. 9-liter twin-turbo V6, which evolved from a relationship with Ferrari, makes 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. 8 seconds and a 191-mph top speed. The car also has a carbon-fiber driveshaft, adaptive suspension, huge Brembo brakes, torque-vectoring rear differential and active aero.
The Camry XSE AWD, by contrast, offers 232 hp and up to 43 mpg combined.
The big discount comes with known trade-offs. The Quadrifoglio's Italian character includes electrical gremlins, sensor glitches and cooling quirks, plus annoying infotainment and interior trim that doesn't match its original price. One review of a 2018 car tallied 80 days in the shop for warning lights, fuel pump, differential and oil sensor issues.
Those examples don't set a failure rate for the whole model year, and later production updates helped, but careful vetting is essential.
4% after five. The roughly $10,000 saved versus a loaded Camry could become a repair and maintenance cushion. A 2021 Maserati Quattroporte S also drops to about $35,000 with a Ferrari-connected engine, but it's a heavier, rarer flagship with limited dealer coverage. For enthusiasts willing to accept the risk, the Quadrifoglio remains a unique four-door experience at Camry money.
