2027 VW Atlas Gets a Major Redesign and a Heftier Price Tag

Volkswagen has rolled out pricing for the completely redesigned 2027 Atlas, and the numbers show a noticeable jump from last year. The base SE model with front-wheel drive now starts at $43,135, which is $2,350 more than the 2026 version. That buys you a fresh exterior, a reworked four-cylinder engine, and a cabin that’s been upgraded with a large touchscreen and ambient lighting.
If you want all-wheel drive, add $2,000 to the sticker.
3-inch digital gauge cluster. 9-inch touchscreen, 10-color ambient lighting, and two wireless phone chargers. To get the headline 15-inch touchscreen, though, you’ll need to step up to the SE with Technology trim, which starts at $47,135, $1,930 more than the 2026 model. That package also adds 20-inch wheels, illuminated badges and door handles, and extra ambient lighting inside.
The sporty SEL R-Line trim now starts at $53,635 with standard all-wheel drive, a $2,540 increase. It includes a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, ventilated second-row seats, and Varenna leather upholstery. At the top of the lineup, the SEL Premium R-Line commands $58,135, up $2,030 from last year.
That buys 21-inch wheels, nappa leather, massaging front seats, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and puddle lights that project the VW logo. The 2027 Atlas goes on sale this fall and will continue to be built at VW’s Chattanooga, Tennessee plant.
