2027 Nissan Z Gets a Price Bump, But Those Retro Styling Touches Are Hard to Ignore

2027 Nissan Z Gets a Price Bump, But Those Retro Styling Touches Are Hard to Ignore

The current-generation Nissan Z has quietly become one of the most underrated sports cars on the market. Now, there’s another reason it might stay that way: Nissan has confirmed a $1,500 price increase for the 2027 model year, pushing the base Z Sport to $45,725 after destination charges.

That’s a notable jump, but the company is also rolling out a handful of visual updates that make the coupe look sharper than ever.

The most striking change is the new color-matched trim around the grille, which pops especially well in the Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic finish. Nissan also swapped the front Nissan logo for a classic Z badge, tweaked the bumper design, and fitted 19-inch wheels with black spokes.

The result is a more refined, elegant look that avoids the overstyled, wanna-be-racer vibe that plagues some competitors. If you do want the full track-ready aesthetic, the Nismo variant now offers a six-speed manual transmission at no extra cost compared to the automatic version, a welcome move for purists.

The 2027 lineup includes four trims: Z Sport, Z Performance, Z Nismo AT, and Z Nismo Manual. Prices start at $45,725 for the Sport and climb to $68,505 for the Nismo, both including destination. Every trim sees a $1,510 increase over last year. With Nissan dealers expected to receive only two or three units per location this year, anyone eyeing a specific color or configuration should act fast.
