2027 Nissan Murano Drops Base Trim, Adds Dark Armor Package with a Higher Price Tag

2027 Nissan Murano Drops Base Trim, Adds Dark Armor Package with a Higher Price Tag

Nissan has reshaped the 2027 Murano lineup, and the cheapest way into the crossover is now gone. The entry-level SV trim has been eliminated, pushing the starting price up by $2,320 to $43,990 before a $1,545 destination fee.

In its place, the company has introduced a new Dark Armor variant, priced at $46,990, which sits neatly between the SL and Platinum trims. The Dark Armor leans into a stealthy look with gloss black badging, black exterior accents, and 21-inch wheels, plus unique Dark Armor insignias.

Buyers can choose Gun Metallic or Super Black at no extra cost, while Scarlet Ember or Everest White run $450, and two-tone options with a contrasting Super Black roof cost $1,000.

Inside, the Dark Armor features perforated Prima-Tex seats in graphite with heating and power adjustment up front. 3-inch NissanConnect infotainment system with Google built-in. 3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Qi2 wireless charger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone climate control, and ProPILOT Assist.

All Murano models keep the same 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four-cylinder engine, producing 241 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. The powertrain carries over unchanged, but the 2027 model adds a new Snow Mode for enhanced traction in winter conditions.
