2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer: Bigger, Quieter, and Still a Towing Beast

The 2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has settled into its role as a serious contender in the full-size SUV segment, and it’s bringing a refined personality to the table. 0-liter inline-six paired with an eight-speed automatic. The result? 3 seconds, quicker than a Chevy Tahoe or Toyota Sequoia.
Towing tops out at 10,000 pounds, beating most rivals, and the ride stays pleasantly quiet thanks to optional air springs. Fuel economy is decent for the class, with EPA figures up to 19 mpg combined and a real-world highway test hitting 22 mpg.
Inside, the Grand Wagoneer offers a spacious cabin with seating for seven or eight, and the third row actually fits adults, not just kids. Cargo space is generous: 27 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 117 with all seats folded. 1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an optional passenger screen.
McIntosh audio systems (up to 23 speakers) deliver premium sound, and physical buttons keep the interface friendly. Lower trims, however, feel a bit spartan with less standard equipment.
For 2027, Jeep simplified the lineup by dropping the confusing Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer naming split, but the vehicle itself carries over unchanged. Safety gear is strong, with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking all standard. The warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles.
If you need three rows but a smaller footprint, consider the Grand Cherokee L, Honda Pilot, or Kia Telluride. But for those who want class-leading towing, a quiet ride, and a cavernous interior, the Grand Wagoneer remains a solid, well-rounded choice.
