2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Upland Offers Rugged Looks for Under $50K

2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Upland Offers Rugged Looks for Under $50K

Jeep has added a new trim to the 2027 Grand Cherokee lineup called Upland, which gives buyers a more affordable way to get a rugged look without the full off-road capability of the Trailhawk.

The Upland trim, previously available on the Grand Wagoneer, comes with all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels and a front fascia similar to the Trailhawk, including gray tow hooks and other gray exterior accents. However, it skips the Trailhawk's upgraded suspension and four-wheel-drive system, meaning it lacks the height-adjustable air suspension and the transfer case found on the more capable model.

Under the hood, the Upland is powered by the standard 324-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine that joined the Grand Cherokee lineup in 2026. Its starting price is $49,990 for the two-row version, which is $5,000 less than the Trailhawk.

Jeep has not yet confirmed whether the Upland trim will be offered on the three-row 2027 Grand Cherokee L. The company says the new trim is expected to arrive at dealerships later this year.
