2027 Genesis GV60 Magma Arrives with 641 HP and a $71,495 Price Tag

Car and Driver reports that the 2027 Genesis GV60 Magma is the brand’s first dedicated high-performance model, priced from $71,495. That is almost $10,000 more than the related Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, but well below the $80,000 estimate the outlet initially expected.
The all-wheel-drive electric SUV makes 641 hp and comes with Boost, Drift, GT, and Sprint modes, plus launch control. Drivers can also activate simulated engine sounds and gearchanges, though neither has to be switched on. The Magma concept was shown at the 2024 New York auto show, and Car and Driver drove the 641-hp electric SUV earlier this year.
Styling is aggressive but mature, with a lowered stance, stubby rear wing, intricate headlights, and smooth bodywork. Color choices are limited to Magma Orange, Uyuni White, Vik Black, or Makalu Gray Matte. Inside, Genesis fits its first performance-spec front seats, microsuede surfaces, Obsidian Black upholstery with orange stitching, unique digital gauges, and steering-wheel controls for drive settings.
The 2027 GV60 Magma will start reaching dealers soon, but only in California, New Jersey, and New York.
