2027 Chevy Express and GMC Savana Vans Get a Long-Awaited Touchscreen

2027 Chevy Express and GMC Savana Vans Get a Long-Awaited Touchscreen

The 2027 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans are finally getting a touchscreen, marking the first time since 2019 that the models have offered one. According to GM Authority, the new 7.0-inch touchscreen will run GM’s Infotainment System 3, a platform that originally debuted in 2020.

The touchscreen option was briefly available in 2019 but was dropped after just one model year. Since then, the vans have come with a basic two-speaker audio system supporting AM/FM radio, MP3 playback, an aux cord, and a USB port, with Bluetooth offered only as an optional extra.

For 2027, the touchscreen brings Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming as confirmed features, though other capabilities like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB connectivity have not yet been verified. Passenger models and vans with the Crew Van package will get four speakers instead of two, while cargo and chassis-cab versions remain with just two.

Aside from the new screen and a production shift to GM’s Wentzville Assembly plant, the vans stay largely unchanged for the 2027 model year. They will start at just over $45,000, continuing their reputation for simple, practical utility.
