2026 Toyota Sienna: The XSE Trim Offers the Best Value

Toyota has updated its 2026 Sienna minivan with more standard features across several trim levels, focusing on practical improvements rather than major redesigns. The LE now includes eight speakers instead of six, while the XSE gets a 12-speaker JBL audio system that was optional last year.
Power sliding doors, rear window shades, a windshield wiper defroster, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are all standard for 2026.
The Sienna, first introduced in 1997 and now in its fourth generation, comes in six versions. According to Car and Driver, the sporty XSE trim delivers the best value for most families. It sits in the middle of the lineup and includes 20-inch wheels, black rocker panels, a black mesh grille, and faux leather seats with sporty stitching options.
The XSE also features a sportier suspension tune, power-adjustable heated front seats, second-row sliding captain’s chairs, a power liftgate, four-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a digital gauge cluster.
For the XSE, buyers have two main options to consider: all-wheel drive for $890 and an entertainment package for $1,415. Every Sienna is a hybrid, producing 245 horsepower and achieving 36 mpg with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive reduces fuel economy by just one mpg. The entertainment package includes a drop-down screen that requires an HDMI port, and the review suggests skipping it.
A digital rearview mirror is available for $200, which helps visibility when kids are in the third row.
Higher trims offer extra luxuries. The Limited, at $53,600, adds real leather, ventilated front seats, and extendable ottomans for the second row. The Platinum, at $60,305, includes a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, a built-in vacuum, and a cooler.
While competitors like the Kia Carnival offer more luxury, the Sienna remains the most fuel-efficient minivan in America, making it a strong choice for budget-conscious buyers.
