2026 Toyota Prius Hits 100,000 Miles in Eight Months - Here’s What Happened

A 2026 Toyota Prius LE has reached 100,000 miles in just eight months, and according to its owner, it’s held up remarkably well. The car belongs to Shane Somers, who runs a medical supply transportation business, delivering critical items to hospitals and nursing homes. He previously put 110,000 miles on a new Land Cruiser in a year, and this Prius took over for that vehicle not long ago.

Somers reported the car is running great and still looks nearly mint, including the driver’s seat, despite countless hours of use. The maintenance record over those 100,000 miles includes 10 oil changes, 13 tire rotations, three engine air filters, three cabin air filters, one engine coolant and inverter service, one set of tires (five flats with the factory tires, none with the Goodyear Assurance replacements), one alignment, and one set of front wipers.

Outside of standard prescribed maintenance, the car has been drama-free for the entire 100,000 miles. While the first few years of any car’s life tend to be its strongest, since bushings and metals haven’t been degraded by the environment yet, this kind of early, heavy use is still a solid test.

So far, this Prius appears to have passed it with no issues.
