1992 Camaro Z28 Convertible Listed at $15,000: A Summer Cruiser With a Stick

A 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 convertible is up for sale at $15,000, and it comes with a rare five-speed manual transmission. The seller says the car runs and drives excellently, and it has 103,000 miles on the odometer.
This Camaro marks the model's 25th anniversary, a fact noted by a small dashboard badge on all 1992 models. The Z28 package brings upgraded suspension, bigger brakes, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a choice of V8 engines. This particular example has the tuned port injection 305 V8, rated at 230 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque when new.
The convertible top, however, shows its age, it appears wavy in photos and spends most of its time stored under the hard tonneau. The interior features two-tone cloth upholstery on four bucket seats, full instrumentation, manual climate control, and a factory stereo. The driver gets an airbag, but other occupants rely on seatbelts.
Recent work includes new ignition components, injectors, a fuel tank, front suspension and steering refresh, and a Magnaflow dual exhaust. Receipts for all work are included. The seller notes it's not a show car and says offers well below the asking price will be ignored. The car has a clean title.
The question is whether $15,000 is fair for a well-maintained, manual-equipped Z28 convertible with some cosmetic flaws. The seller seems firm on price, so buyers will need to decide if the combination of rarity and condition justifies the cost.
